Ukrainian producers reduced exports of chocolate and cacao-containing products in 2016 by 14% comparing to 2015 and by 39% - comparing to 2014 to 58.5 thousand tons.
Exports of dairy products from Ukraine in 2016 amounted to 109.2 ths tons, which is 9% less than in 2015 and 3% less than in 2014. In value terms, exports of this commodity group decreased by 11% compared to 2015 and 2 times in comparison with the year 2014, amounting to about $ 158 million.
Export of all kinds of meat and by-products from Ukraine in 2016 increased by 23% compared to the previous year, reaching 285.95 thousand tons. This amount is also 37% higher than the volume of meat exports from Ukraine in 2014.
Ukrainian food companies - participants of the trade mission to China organized by the Ukrainian Food Export Board (UFEB) received the first orders for sugar, pork and sunflower oil from Chinese importers, said UFEB chairman Bohdan Shapoval.
Ukrainian exporters sold 27 ths. tons of beef in foreign markets in January-September 2016, which is 29% less than in the same period last year. The volume of pork exports reduced 20 times - up to 2 ths. tons from 40 ths. tons. These are estimates of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which were presented by FAO analyst Andriy Pankratov during a meeting of a working group on the meat market, organized by the association “Pig Producers of Ukraine".
Participants of the food exporters congress Ukrainian Food 2016, which will be held December 1-2 in President Hotel in Kiev, will save thousands of dollars on analysts as will create their own strategy of foreign market entry directly at the event, the chairman of the Ukrainian Food Export Board (UFEB) Bogdan Shapoval said.
